Holly Humberstone

-work in progress

This compact EP, comprised of vault demos that have been dusted off and refreshed -with production from long-term collaborator, Rob Milton-is thankfully not one of them. Over pared-back synths and warm chords, the BRIT Award winning singer-songwriter leaves room for growth and understanding as she laments her missteps and stumbles.

-Paint My Bedroom Black

Paint My Bedroom Black embodies Humberstone’s growth after touring two successful EPs and bagging herself the prestigious Rising Star Award at the BRITs. The long-awaited debut album sustains raw lyricism and profound introspection explored by her past projects. It transcends into themes of different perspectives, severe solitude and self-consciousness, while evoking the fear of growing up while on the road.

-The Walls Are Way Too Thin

Either bringing up the filmic environment of the house she grew up in, or manifesting maturity when it comes to understand and put an end to a relationship, Holly Humberstone explores the best off wonky-electronic production and paves the way for a debut album with her sophomore shot, The Walls Are Way Too Thin.

-Falling Asleep at the Wheel

Encapsulating her personal fears and emotions, on Falling Asleep At The Wheel, Holly Humberstone effortlessly makes use of her debut EP’s almost-twenty minutes to wear her heart on her sleeve with “lyrics that someone would get tattooed on their skin for life”.
